Cake Care and Cutting Guide

In order to ensure that you enjoy your cake in perfect condition, we have prepared the following information on how to carefully transport, store, and serve your cake

Handling

  • Pick and carry the cake box from the bottom only

  • Don't pick up the cake by the sides, the board will bend and the frosting might crack

  • Make sure you have enough room in your car for the size of cake you are purchasing

Storage

  • Transfer your cake to the fridge as soon as possible, with its box

  • Store the leftover cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days

  • Please note that we don't use any preservatives for all of our cakes

Other

  • Please read the information carefully as we can't be held liable for damaged items caused by incorrect handling and transportation, once the purchase has been handed over to the customer

  • Please note that all of our cakes contain dairy, egg, and gluten

Transport

  • Keep the cake cool and away from direct sunlight

  • Don't turn out the car heater

  • Place the cake on the passenger side floor of your car

  • We DO NOT recommend someone holding the cake

Serve and Enjoy!

  • Cakes taste at their best if eaten at room temperature on the day of purchase

  • Remove the cake from the fridge 1-2 hours before serving

  • Remove any candles, decorations, and cake dowels before slicing your cake

  • Cakes are best sliced with a large plain edged kitchen knife

Tiered Cake Disassembly Guide

Your cake is made up of separate cakes, and each cake is individually put onto a cake board. The cakes are arranged one on top of another. The cake is supported by cake supports and dowels.

How to disassemble your tiered cake:

  • Use a large plain edged kitchen knife

  • Slide the knife under the cake board on the top-tier cake

  • Carefully remove the cake and the board

  • Remove the Center dowel

  • Do the same for all tiers of the cake

Your cake is made up of two separate cakes, and the top cake is put onto a cake board. The cakes are arranged one on top of another. The bottom cake is supported by cake dowels.

The process:

  • Use a large plain edged kitchen knife

  • Slide the knife under the cake board on the top tier cake and cut the cake

  • Remove the cake board

  • Remove the supporting dowels

  • Cut the bottom cake and serve
